Hannon O'Sullivan Scholarship 2025
Semester 2 ended with a special day as the Class of 1987 remembered their friends and classmates Colm Hannon and Richard O’Sullivan with the inaugural “Hannon O’Sullivan Scholarships of Excellence”.
Year 3 and Year 4 students were eligible for this award based on the following criteria:
~ Attitude
~ Behaviour
~ Team Spirit
~ Commitment
All staff voted a few weeks ago and based on this vote, a shortlist of the highest number of votes was circulated for final votes. There were 2 clear winners – one from each year.
Congratulations to Toby O’Donnell (Year 3) and Heather Fadian (Year 4) on being such worthy and popular winners.
Toby and Heather each received a cheque for €3000 donated by Enda O'Meara, Andrew Langwallner, Kevin O’Callaghan and William Sheehan. We were honoured that Sue Hannon and Ciara Heslin O’Sullivan – both alumni – attended the ceremony. In addition, the Year 3 and Year 3 Class Patrons attended the event to support their students - Una O Dowd and John Burke.
Enda O’Meara spoke to all the students about their lifelong friendship and how they wanted to honour their classmates in this fitting way. This was very inspirational as students finish up classes this week for this academic year and it lets them see the value and importance of staying connected and keep in touch with friends.
Thank you Enda, Andrew, Kevin, William, Sue and Ciara – we were honoured to host this event.
