Excellence Scholarship for Science - CLS
Complete Laboratory Solutions (CLS) - Excellence Scholarship for Science
The CLS Excellence Scholarship for Science aims to encourage high achieving full-time undergraduate students who qualify for financial support under the Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) scheme to study science (CAO code: GY301) at University of Galway.

Scholarship Details
The CLS Scholarship for Science will be awarded on an annual basis to one first-year student who demonstrates academic excellence in their Leaving Certificate, is in receipt of a SUSI grant at the special rate or bands 1-4, and who registers for a place on the Science GY301 programme at University of Galway, offered through the CAO process.
In the event that multiple applicants meet the criteria and have equal highest Leaving Certificate scores, the scholarship, including the monetary award, will be divided equally by all students achieving that equal highest score.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be in receipt of a SUSI grant at Special Rate or Bands 1–4;
- Be a registered student entering Year 1 of GY301 Science at University of Galway;
- Apply for the CLS Scholarship for Science by the deadline below.
Value
The total value of each scholarship is €12,000, comprising of a payment of €3,000 per year per student for the duration of the four-year undergraduate degree. Annual scholarship payments are subject to the student progressing in each year of the programme.
