My time in Letterkenny has been one of my favourite parts of medical school. The small group teaching is one of its greatest strengths. It is such a supportive learning environment and allows for far more direct teaching. The staff throughout the hospital have been so kind to us. The doctors are very invested in teaching and always take the time to explain and involve students as part of the team. The patients have been so generous with their time and are always willing to chat to us. As a year group, we have become very close both inside and outside of the hospital. Aside from placement, Donegal is a great place to live with so many gorgeous beaches and scenery nearby.
